Can Create has worked on the China Mobile Shanghai account since May 2007. The agency’s focus this year will be on China Mobile’s 3G brand G3 and its Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, as well as the services including youth-focused M-Zone and Easy Own roaming service.
Canon Wu, chief creative officer of Can Create, said the agency had proved itself on campaigns for the client including the launch of 12580, a Yellow Pages-style national telephone enquiry service, ahead of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
The majority of China Mobile’s marketing campaigns are driven from their Beijing head office. M-Zone is controlled by Ogilvy & Mather, and G3 by a local agency.
“The creative for the Shanghai World Expo will be executed locally in Shanghai,” Wu added.
Can Create has been involved in the concept story and design inputs for the China Mobile’s Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo for the past six months.
