The appointment covers Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea. According to a statement, SPENA will service regional advertisers with customised media, promotional and sponsorship opportunities, and creative marketing solutions.

Christine Fellowes, MD Asia Pacific, CIMG said: “Having reached a milestone in growth and distribution, the next logical step for E! is partnering with a regional ad sales group."

She added: “Asian advertisers definitely appreciate the value of consumer brand association with celebrity. The appeal of E! as a brand [is that it] delivers the star power of Hollywood, coupled with the added value to advertisers featuring creative, promotional and sponsorship opportunities.”

E! Entertainment Television joins SPENA's list of channels including AXN, Animax, Sony Entertainment Television, AXN Beyond, PIX, PIX Thriller, as well as the recently added AETN All Asia Network suite.

Earlier this month, SPENA boosted its presence in Indonesia in a deal with domestic platform AORA.
