Creative Technology opens Tokyo office

Creative Technology (CT), a global outsourced technical production partner and NEP Live Events Company, has announced the opening of a Tokyo office to meet growing demand for its services in Japan.

CT Japan will provide extensive audio, lighting, LED and projection, media management and technical solutions to clients in the corporate live events and exhibition marketplace.

Chris Burke, managing director of CT Asia Pacific told CEI the office will serve both existing and new business: “We have been supporting clients on their events in Japan for many years, so we expect that trend to continue, but with a more localised support network and we also expect this office opening to generate new business opportunities as well.”

Some of those opportunities include upcoming major events such as the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and the Rugby World Cup 2019.

CT also announced that Kazuyuki Kai, who joined the company in June, will head business development and operations for CT Japan and serve as the key contact for major events and cross-divisional initiatives.

Kai brings more than 10 years’ experience to the role, most recently as a senior sales and project manager at an international AV production house in Tokyo.

“We are excited to formally open an office in Tokyo with Kai spearheading our efforts for this very important market,” said Burke. “His expertise in managing high-profile events for corporations, as well as government entities, is enabling us to build a strong team locally while delivering superior service and innovative solutions for our clients.”
