DDB, BBH, Mindshare bag top honours at Hall of Fame Awards

SINGAPORE - DDB Singapore, BBH Singapore, and Mindshare were the top winners at this year’s Singapore Advertising Hall of Fame Awards, which took place Friday.

DDB Group snapped the advertising agency of the year award, while Mindshare was elected the top media agency. BBH Singapore won best campaign of the year for its breakthrough Mentos campaign. It also took home the digital campaign of the year for the same work.

Ogilvy & Mather’s campaign ‘Be Positive’ for the Health Promotion Board was judged the best television campaign. Ikea’s ‘Need a snooze’ campaign by OMD Singapore picked up the most effective media campaign plan. NTUC Income got the award in the print category.

In the individual category, NTUC Income CEO, Tan Suee Chieh, was awarded the lifetime achievement award for rebranding NTUC into a household name. Virginia Ng, a senior marketing director at Kentucky Fried Chicken Management, bagged the award for client marketer of the year.

The 2012 round of the Hall of Fame Awards was sponsored by MediaCorp, Singapore Press Holdings, SMRT, SingTel, iMedia and Starhub.
