The principle aim of the agreement is to help Flipboard build relationships with media companies, according to a statement from Dentsu. This will involve expanding the number of media companies that share content and promoting Flipboard as an advertising medium. The two agencies will also assist in general marketing duties for the social magazine.

Flipboard is a free app, available on the iPad, iPhone and Android platforms, that aggregates content from social media, news websites and blogs and presents it in a magazine layout. In Japan, Flipboard features content from publications such as GQ, Wired, TechCrunch, Asahi Shimbun and National Geographic.
