Chan has been executive creative director at Creation Chance since April this year, heading integrated marketing programs, creative concept development, design analysis, media planning, direct marketing, CRM and events management.

Now reporting to Grey's executive creative director Keith Ho, Chan will oversee creative accounts for the Hong Kong Tourism Board and Marketplace by Jasons, for starters.

Chan has more than 19 years of creative experience prior to joining Grey last Monday. Most significantly, he worked in the in-house design unit of Cheung Kong Holdings, as well as senior positions at BBDO Proximity, Arc, Landor Associates and Graphia.

He has driven campaigns for Hong Kong Resort International, Sun Hung Kai Properties, Savills and Swire. Other clients include Hang Seng Bank, P&G, TDC, Vitasoy, Pepsi, and San Miguel.

"Ringo's heavyweight experience makes him a truly art-driven, through-the-line expert, and most importantly, he has a special eye for applying great to-the-point design in the context of advertising," said Ho.

Chan's property-focused background, especially his six-year tenure as design manager for Cheung Kong Holdings, will reportedly be a good match for Grey's future property clients.
