SINGAPORE - Facebook has expanded its online advertising partnership with ihub Media across the region to include all 11 Southeast Asian countries plus Japan, Taiwan and South Korea.

Facebook expands partnership with ihub Media across Asia
Appointed last November, iHub Media first represented Facebook in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Taiwan.

The media sales representative currently markets the range of advertising products available through the social networking site and offers homepage engagement ads as well as integrated ad units across Facebook pages.

“ihub Media has made great inroads in Asia and has successfully brought new marketers onto the Facebook platform. Its experience working directly with companies in Asia will help us better take advantage of the advertising opportunities in Asia,” said Mike Murphy, VP of global sales at Facebook.

Facebook has grown rapidly in Southeast Asia this year, and is now challenging Friendster, hitherto the dominant player.

“The expanded agreement is an important alliance that will allow us to work directly with more businesses in Asia to help them implement successful campaigns. We have witnessed tremendous success for advertisers that have bought the home page Reach Block ad unit,” said George Foo, COO of ihub Media.
