Hong Kong Disneyland shortlists agencies for international media review

HKDL is in the process of reviewing its international media and digital business for the Asia-Pacific region, including Greater China, Southeast Asia, India and Australia.

Mindshare is the incumbent agency for the amusement park and ZenithOptimedia was also tipped to be involved in the first round of pitches.

The next presentation is expected to take place next week but the media agencies declined to release any further details.

Derek Wong, director of marketing for China business at HKDL, said, “Since the RFP is still being processed, we are not in the position to provide comments.  We expect the completion of the process within the next six to eight weeks.”

He added, "HKDL is looking for an agency that can translate strategies into creative media output.”

HKDL is in the process of adding three more entertainment areas in Hong Kong, including Grizzly Trail, Mystic Point and a Toy Story land. Walt Disney Company has invested US$58 million into the expansion of the amusement park.
