Indofood hands Chitato brand account to JWT in Indonesia

JAKARTA - Indofood, Indonesia's largest food company, has appointed JWT to take on creative duties for its Chitato potato chip brand following a competitive multi-agency pitch.

Chitato is a market leader in snacks in Indonesia. The brand was last re-launched in 2008 with new packaging and flavours.

The WPP firm is expected to work on both above- and below-the-line intiatives for the brand.

JWT Jakarta president Lulut Asmoro, who led the pitch, said: “We were working with a clear and inspiring brief that had us focusing on consumer sentiment towards the Chitato brand.”

He added: “We presented an insightful strategy positioning where digital was at the centre of our offerings, which contributed to the win."
