IPG veteran Hanley King joins Starcom MediaVest Group

SINGAPORE - Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG) has appointed former IPG hand Hanley King as global network clients lead for Asia-Pacific.

Prior to this, King was regional president for Central and Eastern Europe for Universal McCann until 2010. He was also the COO for McCann Worldgroup and managing director of Universal McCann in Prague.

Based in Singapore, he will work closely with SMG’s global and regional leadership team, which, includes Bill Tucker, president of global client operations, John Sheehy, president of global operations, and Bertilla TEO, CEO of Greater China, among others.

“As we continue to move forward and drive our GNC growth momentum in 2012 and the upcoming year, one key area we have identified to focus on is GNC expertise and AOR relationships from across the globe for the APAC region,” Tucker said in a release.

In his new role, King will focus on clients like Avon, Bank of America, Merril Lynch, Coca-Cola, Mars-Wrigley, Mead Johnson, Novartis, P&G, RIM, Samsung and UBS.
