Iris appoints Josh Thomson to head Asia-Pacific

ASIA-PACIFIC - Iris Worldwide has named Josh Thomson as its regional CEO for Asia-Pacific.

Thomson, who is currently CEO of Iris’ in-house strategy consultancy Concise, will be charged with overseeing the Sydney, Melbourne, Delhi and Singapore operations, as well as the opening of further offices in the region.

His appointment follows the announcement that Richard Bleasdale, who is based in Singapore, is to depart at the end of the year.

Thomson will be based in Sydney and report to Ian Millner, joint chief executive of Iris. He will not oversee Iris’ recently opened Beijing office, which remains under the direction of joint global CEO Stewart Shanley.

Milner said: “Josh has invaluable experience. His diverse background spans time spent at strategy and relationship marketing companies as well as agency-side.”

Iris’ clients in Asia-Pacific include adidas, Sony Ericsson and Tiger Beer.
