Jayakumar will be leading the regional and global Diageo, Tiger and Coca-Cola activation programs. He has been with the agency for a few months as a contract employee.

“Now as a permanent member of the team, he will be a valuable asset to our growing network with his passion and understanding of creating participation brands, as well as relevant experience in the diverse markets of this region,” Craig Mapleston, managing director at Iris Singapore, said.

With experience in regional markets such as Australia, Greater China, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore in the past 11 years, Jayakumar was previously with Grey Worldwide, the Dentsu Network, most recently with Ogilvy Action Malaysia and Taiwan.

At Ogilvy Action Taiwan, he was responsible for the development and expansion of the agency, while leading the British American Tobacco business relationship across APAC.

Iris Singapore earlier named Joe Zandstra as its new regional digital director, replacing David Brown, who joined R/GA Singapore as its regional executive creative director.

Former operations director at Iris Singapore Andy Nethercleft recently left the agency to join BBH Asia-Pacific as the head of operations in Singapore.
