Developed by Iris Worldwide Indonesia, the LED façade measures 8,675 square metres, 862,920 pixels and 353 metres wide. Big enough to fit 700 cars, it is certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest illuminated LED façade.

The mall took nine months to build the eco-friendly curved façade.

The façade allows customers to tweet questions and receive near-instant responses, handled by both Iris and the in-house team. The façade also serves as a signature illuminated landmark for the greater metropolitan area and an icon for the city and the nation.

It will be a long-term feature for the mall, and it is understood that a larger campaign is on the cards but further details were not revealed.

Located in West Jakarta, Taman Anggrek is situated at the junction of two major toll roads that connect to surrounding cities with a total population of more than 20 million.

“We wanted to create an extraordinary experience to be enjoyed at one of the country’s most innovative malls,” said Keat Soh, technical advisor (creative) at Iris Worldwide Indonesia.
