Xu (pictured) will remain in the Beijing office until the end of October. JWT China CEO Donald Chan will take over management of the daily operations in Beijing until Xu's successor is announced.

Chan said that he would ensure a smooth transition and that a "consistent quality of work" is upheld for their clients.

Xu was considered a rising star at JWT in China. His advertising career at JWT Beijing started in 2004, and he was promoted to general manager in 2010. The client list under his charge consists of China Unicom, Yili, COFCO, Tonlion, and Nokia.
