J. Walter Thompson Asia Pacific has appointed Marianne Admardatine as CEO in Indonesia, effective in January.
A member of Campaign's 2017 Women to Watch, Admardatine was previously chief growth officer for Ogilvy & Mather Indonesia, a role she took on in February while continuing as MD of both Ogilvy Public Relations and Pulse Communications in the country.
She will report to another recent import from Ogilvy, Jacco ter Schegget, who was named Southeast Asia CEO in May and assumed the role in September.
Admardatine's new role includes oversight of both Mirum and J Walter Thompson. She will be responsible for expanding the company's capabilities in strategic brand building, digital transformation, customer experience, marketing automation and commerce activation, as well as driving thought leadership and building business engagement with C-suite clients to initiate integrated campaigns, according to the company.
Ter Schegget called Admardatine "a true powerhouse" and "prominent figure" who will "help the JWT group further unlock growth" for both Indonesian companies and multinationals. She is "uniquely positioned" to drive brand and consumer understanding across digital, PR and offline, he added.
Citing JWT's reputation as "one of the country’s most progressive agencies", Admardatine said she is "looking forward to working with the team to open new doors and widen our reach of brand management, creative services and communications".
Clients Admardatine has worked with include Indonesian Ministries of Tourism, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Communication and Informatics, Bank of Indonesia, HSBC, Unilever, Pertamina, SONY, Disney, Tokopedia, Ford, Google, Twitter, LINE, Bukalapak and Prudential.
Ogilvy & Mather Indonesia promoted Misty Maitimoe to managing director of Ogilvy Public Relations Indonesia after Admardatine's departure.
