Muntzing takes over on 1 September. White, who became CEO in 2010 after originally joining the network in 1993, will remain with the agency while completing a thorough handover.

Muntzing previously held a dual role of managing director at Muntzing Agency, a company she founded in 2013, as well as CEO of Geometry Global, WPP’s shopper marketing arm. She also previously headed OgilvyAction.

“Yupin’s successful client achievements and extensive experience working across multi-platforms for a portfolio of clients consisting of both local and multi-national, makes her a fabulous fit for our agency,” said Charles Cadell, president of McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific.

Earlier this year, the agency appointed Kamonwan Saenissara as head of strategy to lead its strategic initiatives and its thought leadership unit, Truth Central.
