Merck pitches consumer health products media business

GLOBAL – Pharmaceutical company Merck is understood to be pitching its global media planning and buying account for its consumer health products.

The full-service media pitch, covering planning, buying and digital, is said to cover Merck’s consumer health products line, which includes over-the-counter brands.

The pitch is understood to currently be at preliminary stages, with RFP documents issued.

Merck did not respond to Campaign Asia-Pacific’s request for comment.

According to Merck’s website, its consumer health business is primarily focused on Europe (France, Germany and the UK) but it has a growing presence in emerging markets.
