Digital media agency New Media Edge has acquired Media Plus, a social media and branded content specialist, and created Thailand’s largest digital agency, Newmedia+.

With the merger, New Media Edge’s digital media buying, planning and production infrastructure will be complemented with Media Plus’ strategic thinking and social media expertise.

Working directly with advertisers and in collaboration with partner agencies, New Media Plus will offer total solutions for its clients’ digital requirements – from planning, channel selection and media buying to execution, implementation and optimisation.

Nam Do Newmedia+ CEO notes that the new entity’s powerful combination of sound digital strategy and extensive execution brings a whole new level of expertise to bear for their clients. “We now have the full capability to complete the marketing feedback loop in the digital space. Listening, engaging, designing content, distributing messages and building affinity,” he said.

Patrick Pitcher, who will continue as Newmedia+'s Chairman, said:  “These are exciting times for the communications industry. So much new, so much change, clients need a company that understands the new media scene and is able to create communications that deliver results. I am pleased to be working with forward thinkers like the people at Newmedia+ who have figured out how to take advantage of change.”
