Ogilvy & Mather appoints Jeremy Sy to planning role in the Philippines

MANILA – Seasoned planner Jeremy Sy has been appointed as group planning director at Ogilvy & Mather Philippines. He joins from Whybin TBWA Melbourne.

Sy has previously worked at Ogilvy & Mather, JWT and TBWA in Manila, Shanghai, Beijing and Melbourne. He was also a consultant at the London-based Henley Centre.

Randy Aquino, Ogilvy & Mather head of country, said, “Jeremy, fresh from his stint with Whybin TBWA Melbourne, is a familiar face returned to the O&M planning group."

"Aside from leading the planning group, Jeremy is tasked to cascade and help us utilise our strategic tools and will be the chief strategist for our major brand initiatives and new business pitches,” added Aquino.

Sy said that he’s happy to be home in Manila, and happy to be back at Ogilvy. “I've always believed that marketing success happens where business fuses with culture, and I'm looking forward to making more of those fusions happen with Ogilvy Manila,” he said.

Sy is a WPP Marketing Fellow and graduated Cum Laude from Harvard University. He has worked on global brands such as Apple, Michelin, Nissan, Infiniti, Pedigree, Whiskas, Porsche, Adidas, Ford, Bosche, Listerine, Lipton, Nestle, HSBC, Vodafone, Unilever, Nokia and Motorola.
