Param Saikia appointed CEO at JWT Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR - JWT has announced the appointment of Param Saikia as CEO for its Malaysia operation.

In his new role, Saikia will partner with Edwin Leong, deputy chairman and ECD. His appointment will take effect January 2011. 

Saikia joins from Iris Worldwide where he was CEO of their India operations. He has sat on the executive committee of Grey, McCann, Euro RSCG and Publicis, servicing blue-chip clients such as Nestlé, Coca-Cola, HP, Perfetti, Bacardi GM, Gillette, Intel, MasterCard, Sheraton and Reckitt Benkiser.

“Param’s 20-plus years of industry experience, coupled with his ability to deliver business results and build up digital offerings for agencies makes him invaluable as we continue to grow our business in Malaysia,” said Michael Maedel, JWT Asia-Pacific president.
