PHD adds Ultimate Fighting Championship to media portfolio

SYDNEY – PHD has been selected as the media agency-of-record by mixed martial arts promotion company Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), displacing the incumbent agency Carat.

PHD’s responsibilities will include all strategic media and planning duties for UFC.

The appointment commenced with the promotion of UFC’s second event in Australia – UFC 127 – that took place on 26 February at the city’s Acer Arena.

Andy Littlewood, director of analytics at PHD, looks forward to helping the UFC build an even bigger brand, and most importantly, become a household name.

Meanwhile, Marshall Zelaznik, managing director of international development at UFC, remarked, “We were impressed by PHD’s offering as they showed a high level of creativity and accountability, backed by sophisticated planning and trading systems.”
