Playboy TV launches in Taiwan

TAIPEI - Playboy TV’s commercial-free channel, airing in English with Chinese subtitles, today launched on Chunghwa Telecom’s IPTV platform, available around the clock.

A press conference is scheduled later today in Taipei, which will see the attendance of Jennifer Pershing, Playboy Playmate Miss March 2009.

"We are thrilled to partner with Taiwan's preeminent telecom company to bring Playboy TV to the world's most highly penetrated cable and satellite market," said Steve Smith, executive vice-president and managing director of Playboy TV International.

"Playboy TV is the world's leading producer of erotic entertainment, and we're proud to offer Taiwan consumers the best quality programming for adults available in the marketplace," he added.

Scheduled shows in Taiwan include Jenna's American Sex Star, Playboy Shoot Out and 69 Sexy Things to Do before you Die.

Playboy's programming is currently airing in over 150 countries and territories worldwide. The company has also established TV networks in more than 70 countries.
