Wong replaced Rosa Chan, who resigned last May to join Chinese herbal company Nurtigreen as general manager, as reported in June.

Wong will oversee the marketing of all Reckitt Benckiser’s key products including Dettol, Durex, Scholl, Vanish, Strepsols, Airwick, among others. He will report to the general manager Ishibashi Toshiya.

With over 15 years of marketing industry experience on the multinational client side in Greater China and international markets, Wong was most recently marketing director for Hong Kong Disneyland for Hong Kong and international markets. He spent over a year in that role.

Prior to the theme park, he was associate marketing director for Johnson & Johnson in Hong Kong for five years, and marketing manager for Kraft Foods for Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Currently Reckitt Benckiser works with PHD and ZenithOptimedia in the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets, respectively, while using various creative agencies for different brands.

Reported last July, Reckitt Benckiser has appointed Advocacy, a Shanghai-based word-of-mouth marketing agency, to develop campaigns for household and personal care brands Dettol and Vett.

Globally, Bart Becht has retired from his role as chief executive of Reckitt Benckiser after 12 years, as reported last April. His role was replaced by marketer Rakesh Kapoor, executive vice president and global category manager.
