Singapore 4As elects Gosh CEO Ted Choo as president

SINGAPORE - The Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Singapore (4As) has appointed Ted Choo (pictured), CEO of Gosh Advertising, as president along with 15 others to serve on the 4As executive committee over the next two years.

Choo takes over from Anthony Kang, president of Dentsu Singapore, who has served as the 4As head for the last seven years.

The current executive committee members include Angus Fraser, JWT Singapore, as first vice-president, Connie Chan, MEC Singapore, as second vice-president, Faith Gay, Mediatron Advertising, as secretary and Vincent Hoe, AG Advertising, as treasurer.

Other executive committee members include Arthur Sung, Starcom Media Worldwide, David Phey, Crush Advertising, Pat Lim, Briq, Phyllis Chua, City Life Advertising, Rosemary Lising, GroupM Search, Shirley Yeo, DDB Worldwide, Subba Raju, Grey Group, Taru Jain, XM Asia Pacific, Torie Henderson, OMD Singapore and Vikram Bansal, ZenithOptimedia.

The new committee will aim to provide a stronger representation of the industry especially in the digital age.

On its goals, Choo said: “Our aim is to enhance our credibility, improve our competency and professionalism, earning the respect and admiration of our peers, the business community and society at large.”

Choo also hopes to see more involvement from the industry to help champion some of its causes. He added: “The world has entered the age of participation and collaboration, especially evident in our industry. We encourage all members, partners, clients and interest groups to join us and tackle the challenges of our time.”
