Singapore Tourism Board bestows grant for MICE planning software

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has awarded a grant to Singapore-based Aonia Group to develop Planner-Plus, a decision-making tool for the MICE industry.

The grant has been awarded under the Business Improvement Fund (BIF). Planner-Plus is a cloud-based software application aimed at enhancing efficiencies in decision-making. It aims to streamline workflows and reduce labour-intensive inefficiencies during the meeting-planning process.

Inginim, a Singapore-based software development firm, will undertake the development work.

"Key decisions are oftentimes made based on emotion or a vague inkling of an idea," said Aonia CEO Daniel Chua. "Planner-Plus is created to effect fact-based decision-making in real time to save meeting planners, their clients and suppliers time, effort and money.”

Chai Kok Young, Inginim's Co-CEO, said Planner-Plus will incorporate features based on Aonia’s
work organising events worldwide.

Development is underway and the software's release is expected in the second half of 2018.
