Deogracias (pictured) will be responsible for driving thought leadership and propagating digital expertise among staff as well as building and expanding capabilities across all offerings of the group, while leading the creation of digital initiatives and projects for key clients.

He will report to Joanna Chan-Mojica, managing director of Starcom MediaVest Group Philippines, and will work closely with the media directors and group heads.

With more than eight years of experience in the digital field, he started his career managing online projects with AsiaOnline, DentsuINDIO and MRM Worldwide, whereby he served as digital services director for two years before being promoted to business director.

He spent a year away from the industry as an entrepreneur last year, before he was lured back to join SMG Philippines to oversee the digital operations for the group’s operating arms which include Starcom, MediaVest, StarLink, Navia, as well as Starcom IP.

Commenting on the appointment, Chan-Mojica said the appointment is a statement of intent to affirm the agency's market-leading status in the fast-growing digital arena, as well as to develop its capabilities in this space for the future.

“With his background and experience in the industry, Quad will help to effectively translate and communicate our prowess and dominance in digital for our valued clients, thereby ensuring SMG continues to deliver across all fronts in the integrated marketing communications realm,” she added.
