Sosro hands media to Dentsu

JAKARTA - Sinar Sosro, one of the largest Indonesian beverage companies, has handed the media of its flagship beverage brand Teh Botol to Dentsu Media Cubic after a four-way pitch that involved Maxus, Carat and local media shop KS Media.

This is the first time a media agency has been appointed for the brand.

Teh Botol’s media was until now being handled by Matari Advertising, which currently oversees the creative for many of Sosro’s beverages. The company’s advertising account is currently split between several agencies. Sources suggest that a creative pitch is also under way for several of its brands.

Teh Botol, which literally means ‘bottled tea’, is a market leader in the ready-to-drink category and is arguably the most popular Indonesian drink. The company’s other brands include Fruit Tea Sosro, Joy Tea Green Sosro, Tebs, Happy Jus and Prim A.
