Spikes Asia 2025 shortlists announced

Spikes Asia has unveiled its 2025 shortlist, with Australia and India emerging as the top contenders with the most shortlisted entries.

The live judging recently concluded in Da Nang, Vietnam, where over 80 jurors—comprising esteemed creative leaders from across the region—evaluated the best work APAC has to offer. Out of 2,759 submissions spanning 20 markets, only 613 entries made the cut, underscoring the rigorous selection process.

Japan follows closely behind Australia and India, reaffirming its status as a regional creative powerhouse. The overall winners will be announced at the Spikes Asia Awards gala, which will take place at Swissotel The Stamford in Singapore on 24 April 2025. During the ceremony, Samsung will also be recognised as Advertiser of the Year.

The jury presidents and full juror lineups, announced late last year, include representatives from leading brands and platforms such as Grab, Meta, Nestlé, TikTok, Unilever, and Warner Music Asia. Agencies and networks from across the region, including Choojai and Friends, GForce Kazakhstan, IDEOT, Monks India, One Green Bean, and Mongolian agency Whyze, are also represented.

Mandy Neo, director of Spikes Asia, commended the calibre of submissions this year, emphasising their "outstanding creativity and marketing effectiveness." She said:

"The quality and breadth of work submitted reflect the evolving landscape of branded communications, showcasing fresh perspectives and powerful storytelling. We congratulate all the shortlisted entrants and look forward to celebrating the winners at the Awards Ceremony in April."

Marian Brannelly, global director of Awards at Lions, echoed this sentiment, adding:

"Creativity continues to be a driving force for innovation and impact across APAC. The Spikes Asia Awards set the benchmark for excellence, and this year’s shortlist reflects the ingenuity, cultural resonance, and world-class craft shaping the industry. It’s inspiring to see how brands and agencies across the region are pushing creative boundaries to drive meaningful change. We look forward to unveiling the winners and celebrating their achievements next month."

Spikes Asia had already revealed its Innovation category shortlist on February 25, and the full shortlist is now available on lovethework.com
