Start Creative hires Michael Dorrian as creative director

HONG KONG - Start Creative Hong Kong, the Asia head office of brand and digital agency Start Creative, has appointed Michael Dorrian (pictured) as its new creative director.

Dorrian, who joins after five years as creative director at Start's London headquarters, will take on the position in Hong Kong on 7 September.

Dorrian’s role will focus on building a creative team for the Hong Kong and Greater China operation, and developing its position as a leading creative force in the region. He will lead the creative work for Start’s regional clients, which include Beijing property giant Modern Green and its MOMA developments .

On his new role Dorrian said: “After five happy years at Start Creative in the UK I am very much looking forward to joining the team in Hong Kong to build our reputation as a leading brand and digital creative agency.”

Jonathan Cummings, Start Creative Hong Kong’s managing director, added: “Not only is he an exceptional creative, but he has a proven track record of developing young talented graduates who have gone on to become outstanding designers. There is no shortage of raw creative talent in Hong Kong and across the region, and I am very much looking forward to working with Michael to unlock their potential and delivering exciting work for our clients.”

The Hong Kong office of Start Creative, which also operates in Beijing , is the business’s Asia hub. It is headquartered in London and has a Middle East regional office in Dubai. Start helped to develop retail communications for the adidas global flagship store in Beijing , which opened last year.
