The agency won the account after several rounds of discussions with the client, without a pitch. Leo Burnett Hong Kong is tasked to handle Stepper Eyewear's global brand launch on consumer and retail level and create a global brand positioning.

Core markets included in the global launch, scheduled for Q2 this year, are the UK, China and North America.

Stepper Eyewear was founded in Germany in 1970. The brand is known for its quality, design and aesthetic details with a good facial fit, aimed at young, affluent consumers through word-of-month at the retail and trade level in the global market.

Hans Stepper, founder of Stepper Eyewear based in Hong Kong, commented, "After several meetings with the agency team, I was really impressed by the creativity and the work that Leo Burnett Hong Kong has done for different brands from different categories."

"I am confident that the team will come up with a sound brand strategy and positioning that's best fit for Stepper, and I trust that with such, we'll be able to make Stepper a bigger global brand."

Time Out Magazine, Ikea, CSL, German brand Bauknecht and Sky 100 are among Leo Burnett Hong Kong's current lifestyle client portfolio.
