The magazine will serve the interests of a growing affluent middle class with an interest in technology and lifestyle items. The publisher is Southeastern Globe Communications, a Phnom Penh-based publishing group, operating under licence from Haymarket Media (publisher of Campaign Asia-Pacific).

Tassilo Brinzer, the magazine’s publisher, described the growth of the market as having been “an exciting journey”, and pointed to continued growth in interest around technological devices across the region.

“Since we started talks with Haymarket over one year ago on launching Stuff in Cambodia, we met with Stuff publishers in Vietnam, Myanmar and Thailand and were excited to see that they are all seeing a similar development—Southeast Asians love tech and gadgets,” Brinzer said.

The magazine will have an initial print run of 6,000 and retail at a promotional price of US$2.25, thereafter $2.75. Stuff launched in Myanmar last year and is published in close to 30 countries. At the end of 2013, Haymarket relaunched the publication in Singapore.

Southeastern Globe Communications also publishes Southeast Asia Globe, Focus Asean and Discover — The Essence of Cambodia.
