TBWA hires Milo Chao from DDB as chief strategy officer

SHANGHAI - Milo Chao is the new chief strategy officer for TBWA China after quitting his job as head of strategic planning for Greater China at DDB.

Reporting to Ian Thubron, president of TBWA Greater China, Chao will provide strategic leadership for TBWA, Digital Arts Network, The Integer Group, Auditoire and BEING.

At DDB Chao worked with clients including Acer, China Resources Enterprises, Durex, JingDong360, Kappa, PepsiCo, Unilever, Volkswagen and Wrigley.

He also has had a long and highly regarded career, having worked in New York, Dallas, Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, Tokyo and Shanghai since 1997.

Thubron commented that Chao "brings a strategic rigour as well as familiarity and capability with the entire integrated process".
