From May onwards, Leo Burnett will become the full-service agency-of-record overseeing regional creative and brand building strategies for UOB.

Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore had previously held the account which it won in late 2005.

In September 2008, UOB shifted its estimated S$14 million (US$10 million) media account from Universal McCann to Starcom. The bank’s digital account was awarded to Arc in December 2007.

On the appointment, Jarek Ziebinski, president of Leo Burnett & Arc Asia-Pacific, said: “We’re very excited to become the strategic creative agency of UOB. We will do our best to be the perfect partner. With our profound experience in the financial sector, we’re confident in devising impactful and engaging communication strategies to take the brand to the next level.”
