SINGAPORE - The Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) has called a PR pitch to support its ongoing campaigns and activities.

The PR account will run for 12 months from next month. During this period, the appointed PR agency is required to work with in-house media relations to provide strategic counselling and PR advisory, plans and timelines. It is expected to secure media interviews and coverage; issue media materials; organise and manage publicity for WDA-led events; and engage through social media.

The agency would also provide monthly analysis, media monitoring services and a PR consultant to be stationed in WDA to support the in-house media relations team.

The WDA, which also called a pitch for its social media business recently, has a stated mission to enhance the employability and competitiveness of the workforce through continuous education and training. Its campaigns are targeted at rank and file workers (RnFs); professionals, managers and executives (PMEs); and employers, each with different key messages.

In the PR proposal, the PR agency will be required to propose the resources and account team setup to support the implementation of the project.

The setup should also include placement of a competent personnel at WDA, clear assignment of roles and responsibilities, as well as their reporting structure including interaction plan with WDA for day-to-day account servicing during the 12-month period. It should also cover the consultant and ensure deliverables during the consultant’s absence from work.

The closing date for the tender is 5 February.
