Wei-Hsiang joins DDB PR as MD

KUALA LUMPUR - Chong Wei-Hsiang (pictured), managing director of GCI Worldwide, the PR arm of Grey Group Malaysia, is leaving the agency to join Naga DDB Malaysia's PR division as the new managing director.

He replaces Charmaine Augustin, who left the agency last week for undisclosed reasons.
 
Wei-Hsiang said,“ I have had a fabulous eight years at GCI and I think it’s a good time to move to new opportunities and also reinvent myself in a new environment.”

Wei-Hsiang, who joins the new agency on 6 August,  will report to Vincent Lee, group executive chairman of Naga DDB Malaysia.
 
Raymond Siva, the current head of practice for GCI, would be the acting head of GCI till a new person is appointed. A source said that GCI plans to beef up its team and is in process of making three senior level appointments. In the last two months four members of PR team have left the agency to pursue other interests.
