Y&R Jakarta appoints senior planning director

JAKARTA - Y&R Jakarta has appointed Melissa Torre as senior planning director.

Torre joins the agency with over 11 years’ experience in advertising, including strategic planning and account management.  

Prior to joining Y&R, Torre spent two years as strategic planner with Publicis Manila, acting as lead planner for major FCMG, pharmaceutical and personal care brands for Nestle, Pacific Meat Company  and United Laboratories.

At Y&R, Torre will be responsible for establishing a more interactive and collaborative planning department as well as acting as lead planner for key agency accounts including the Danone portfolio and LG.  
 
Commenting on her appointment, Andrew Dowling, CEO of Y&R Jakarta, said, “We are excited to have someone of Melissa’s experience and talent on board. She brings to Y&R an in-depth understanding of how to uncover true consumer insights that sell products.  Melissa will help lead and drive the new era of integrated and strategic thinking at Y&R.”
 
Torre said that she welcomes this new and adventurous phase in her career. “I find it an exciting challenge to be planning in a different market and mining for local and culturally relevant insights. With the support of Andrew and the rest of the agency team I look forward to helping achieve new things for Y&R Jakarta and our clients.”
