PEOPLE MOVES 

CNN International Commercial appointed Delilah Chan as sales director, Southeast Asia, and Zab Ali as digital director, North Asia. Chan was previously head of sales in APAC for kid-focused digital media platform SuperAwesome. Ali was most recently with Havas Media.

Publicis One Indonesia appointed Shailesh Iyer, most recently regional strategy director at Leo Burnett Dubai, as chief strategy officer. He will oversee strategy across Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi, Publicis, Starcom, Zenith, Performics, Blue449, SapientRazorfish and Arcade (a strategic alliance partner). 

Campaigns & Grey appointed Eugene Demata as chief creative officer, overseeing all creative output from the Manila and Cebu offices. He joins from Tribal DDB, where he was the ECD since 2015.

BBDO Indonesia appointed Isai Martinez and Trina Martirez as creative directors. Martinez, an art-based creative, joins from BBDO Guerrero and has worked with brands including Pantene, Pizza Hut, Visa, PepsiCo and Globe Telecommunications. Martirez, a copywriter, joins from Ogilvy & Mather Philippines and has worked on Pond’s, Knorr, Lady’s Choice, L’Oréal, Nestlé and McDonald’s. 

AdAsia Holdings appointed Vivian Yen as vice president, Taiwan. She has held leadership roles at MediaCom Taiwan, ZenithOptimedia Taiwan and Advanced Pioneer International, which was later sold to Group M. She was most recently an investor in several e-commerce and travel tech companies, and a marketing consultant for marketing tech and data analytics firms. 

Publicis One Vietnam announced the launch of Prodigious Brand Logistics, a content-creation company, and appointed Edge Pamute as general manager. The company, which produces audio, visual and space designs, will offer its services across Leo Burnett, Saatchi, Publicis, Zenith, Starcom, Performics and MSLGROUP, as well as to direct clients.

Publicis Media announced the hiring of four senior leads for its data, technology, and innovation practice. Marc Langenfeld joins as the programmatic strategy lead (previously Amnet), Janet Leung as director of product (previously of Amobee), Nicole Watson as director of strategy (previously of Xaxis), and Jiyoun Yoon as director of data and technology APAC (previously of Eyeota).

HBO Asia appointed Jessica Kam (甘蕙茵) as senior vice president for HBO Asia Original Productions.  Kam is a senior TV executive and film producer with over 20 years of experience in film, TV, music, news and digital media. Some of her notable film credits include the award-winning Chinese feature film The Piano in a Factory (钢的琴).

Buro 24/7 Singapore editor-in-chief Norman Tan has taken on an additional role as digital editorial director of Indochine Media Singapore, which adds RobbReport.com.sg to his remit in addition to Buro247.sg.

Ikon announced a series of changes: In Sydney: Managing partner Pat Crowley steps aside from his management position to focus solely on the CBA account, and James Sawyer is promoted to managing partner. In Brisbane: Managing partner Lesley Edwards will take up the newly created position of chairperson, Ikon National, working with National COO David Gerrie. National head of performance Chris Ernst has been promoted to Brisbane managing partner, while directors Shelley Cook and Adam Hickey are taking on broader responsibilities: Cook to lead partnerships and strategy, Hickey client leadership, people, culture and processes. 

VS Media appointed Andrea Lam as general manager in Hong Kong. She was previously head of acquisition marketing and digital transformation at Hutchison Telecom Hong Kong.

WorkBook Software has hired Addin Lim as APAC senior consultant based in Singapore. Lim has over 22 years of advertising and media agency experience, working for DDB Singapore, TSS Australia and WPP.

New Narrative, which creates custom research, thought leadership, multi-platform editorial content and publishing campaigns for corporations and media organisations, hired Lorraine Cushnie as a partner in its Hong Kong office. She was previously managing editor at Euromoney Institutional Investor.

Slingshot won the Australian Pork account for media strategy, data strategy, media planning and buying, following a competitive pitch. Australian Pork is the national representative body for Australian pig producers, best known for its ‘Get some pork on your fork’ campaigns.

IPG Mediabrands Malaysia social-media agency SpringCreek was reappointed as social-media agency for Digi Telecommunications (Digi) following a pitch against a number of agencies including Entropia Global and Ampersand Advisory.

Commvault appointed Lewis as communications agency of record for Australia and New Zealand following a competitive pitch.

CompareOn Pakistan hired MWM Studioz as its performance marketing agency, taking on qualified lead generation for KarloCompare, its price comparison site for consumer products, finance, telecom, and insurance. 

Right Hook Communications announced it won regional PR duties for Club Med.

OTHER NEWS

Tribe, the Astro Malaysia-owned online video service provider, announced Singapore as its third market, after Indonesia and the Philippines. Singtel’s OTT video portal app, Cast, will carry Tribe’s on-demand content via the Aneka Plus pack, which features Malay programs from various content providers, including Astro Malaysia.
