Goodbye MEC and Maxus...hello Wavemaker. Have a look at photos from the Wavemaker launch party in Hong Kong

Wavemaker held the last of its global launch parties this week in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand. At the Hong Kong launch, held at Blueprint in Dorset House, GroupM APAC CEO Mark Patterson addressed a full house of client and media partners.

"We've got a fantastic team by bringing together the teams of MEC and Maxus," he said. "We're bold, we're ambitious. We want to do things differently."

GroupM Hong Kong CEO Melanie Lo and Stanley Ngai, managing director of Wavemaker Hong Kong also made quick remarks before a group toast and the cutting of a Wavemaker cake.
