Shenzhen artist redesigns Glenfiddich iconic stag for CNY

GALLERY: Rlon Wang has whimsically reimagined the royal stag for limited edition lunar new year packaging.

Glenfiddich has tapped Shenzhen-based artist Rlon Wang to create a series of limited-edition festive sets for Lunar New Year.  The new mystic design features the brand’s iconic stag in the styles of traditional Chinese paintings as well as contemporary art.

The Scotch whiskey brand says the design also pays tribute to the Eastern voyage of Charles Gordon, the son-in-law of Glenfiddich’s founder. In the image, mountainous terrains in Scotland are also seen blending with modern Asia cityscapes.
