Apple rolls out another Animoji karoke video

Apple's Animoji: Taxi Driver rendition premiering at the Seoul Jazz Festival is said to be inspired by the unreleased track "Citizen Kane" by Korean indie band HYUKOH.

It is well known that Samsung and Apple are engaged in an emoji battle, or, in the latter's case, Animoji that comes with the highly priced iPhone X model. And here's the bare difference between those two brands of emojis: Galaxy S9's AR emoji feature allows users to create their own avatars with their photos while Apple's version is less customised with the allocated Animojis available. However, Apple users can use their own voices and facial expressions to make Animoji videos.

While the jury is still out on which brand of emoji is more superior technically, Ad Nut thinks Samsung is the clear winner for users who prefer a more personalised experience. That may not be the swing factor for consumers to choose one brand over the other, but in view of the lagging sales of iPhone X Apple needs to work harder as even the most diehard fan would balk at the $1,000 price tag for the added feature of making karaoke video with Animojis.

Judging from its Grammy's release earlier this year and this Animoji: Taxi Driver that will premiere at the closing of the Seoul Jazz Festival, this is mainly what Apple has in mind for what Animojis can do—make funny karaoke videos.
