Facebook APAC head speaks of "massive" efforts to remove harmful content

VIDEO: Interviewed at Campaign360 the week before the Christchurch attacks, Neil Stewart's remarks now hold greater significance in the light of what happened.

In this interview recorded at the Campaign360 conference in Singapore on March 5, Neil Stewart, head of agency for APAC at Facebook, says that people have a generally low trust of other people’s data: we asked him whether he was surprised at the findings of Campaign’s research with Kantar that just 33% of people in the industry trust data from Facebook.

Stewart talks about which brands use Facebook the most efficiently for their own ends, consumers’ feelings about their private data and how Facebook is growing in Asia.

Stewart also engages in a discussion about Facebook’s efforts to halt the spread of fake news and harmful content in a conversation that now holds additional weight following the attacks in New Zealand’s Christchurch, which have very much brought the topic to the forefront of the news.
