Nissan likens small car to Napoleon, Genghis Khan

AUSTRALIA - Through Whybin/TBWA Melbourne, Nissan Australia is introducing the company's Juke model to the country with the tagline 'Bad-asses come in small packages'.

The 45-second spot, which debuted Sunday, spends much of its running time recounting some of history's most successful (and tyrannical) small-statured gentlemen, including Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan and Napoleon. It ends with shots of the vehicle tearing through an apparent war zone.

Peter Clissold, Nissan Australia's executive general manager for marketing, continued the theme, commenting that, "The launch campaign really captures the personality and excitement of this little weapon".

Questions of potential overcompensation are not addressed directly.
