His appointment follows recent moves to reinforce the team, including the hiring of Anton Reyniers as planning director.

With 10 years' experience in interactive marketing, both on the client and agency sides, Teo has developed strategies and campaigns with engaging digital experiences.

He was most recently with Publicis Modem, where he led digital strategy for Citibank Asia-Pacific and other key integrated and digital accounts. He also managed a boutique digital agency in Hong Kong previously. On the client side, he helped build the online business at both Citibank and HSBC in Singapore.

Currently he is also a columnist on clickz.asia, and a contributor of commentary and research on emerging markets for online news portals.

Commenting on the appointment, Andy Wilson, head of planning with BBDO/Proximity Singapore, said, “We are all thrilled that Vincent is joining us. He is such an accomplished and passionate digital expert, and another sure sign that BBDO/Proximity is winning the battle for talent. We have some really exciting assignments in the digital space, and I can’t wait to unleash Vincent’s expertise onto them.”

Teo, meanwhile, said, “I'm extremely excited to join the planning team at BBDO/Proximity Singapore. The agency has a steadfast reputation for excellent thinking and creative work and I look forward to working with our roster of great brands to create truly memorable digital platforms and experiences.”
