Kwok's new dual roles are the managing director of OgilvyOne Shanghai and vice president of e-commerce at OgilvyOne China, with the latter a newly created role for him.
He takes over Tom Wan's former position. Wan has been appointed as the regional Asia-Pacific head of the Philips account at the agency.
Kwok’s responsibilites entail leading OgilvyOne Shanghai’s digital operations while developing and strengthening its e-commerce offering across China.
Reporting to the president of OgilvyOne China, Angel Chen, Kowk is to oversee clients in four key categories: Dumex and Huggies (maternal), North Face (apparel), Dove (beauty), and Diageo (luxury).
Chen commented, “Billboard is a well-known and highly sought-after talent in our industry, and we’re thrilled that he chose to rejoin us. With his familiarity with Ogilvy, I’m confident that he will be able to quickly excel."

A Hong Kong native, Kwok is no stranger to Ogilvy Group, having spent the first 13 years of his career (1993-2006) at the agency, firstly in Hong Kong and then in Shanghai and Beijing. In 2006, he led growth of the Lenovo account by more than 260 per cent in six months.
“This is a real homecoming as I’ve spent most of my advertising and marketing career at Ogilvy," Kwok told Campaign Asia-Pacific. "My true love is in the creative industry. I only rediscovered that after driving a brand campaign for Dangdang in last year's fourth quarter, and found myself to be more excited about branding than anything else."
Prior to being Dangdang's CMO since September 2010, he was the managing director of Euro RSCG 4D China from 2009. Before that, Kwok was involved with two digital start-ups: mobile media outfit WE and iCoupon. He is also fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese Chinese and the Fujian dialect.
