Bloomberg Businessweek to launch Simplified Chinese edition

BEIJING - Modern Media has been authorised by Bloomberg Businessweek to publish the title’s Simplified Chinese language edition, industry insiders have confirmed.

The Chinese edition will be headed by Miao Wei, former deputy editor-in-chief of Sanlian Life Weekly, a popular magazine that covers both in-depth news reports and life style and entertainment stories. Miao is currently recruiting the team.

Modern Media is one of the largest magazine groups in China, and is the publisher of several leading magazine titles.

Bloomberg Businessweek, formerly known as BusinessWeek, is a weekly business magazine headquartered in New York City and was acquired by Bloomberg in October 2009.
