Ching Ian Wee resurfaces at VivaKi Exchange after leaving Zenith China's Equinox

SHANGHAI - Ching Ian Wee (pictured) has joined VivaKi Exchange China as its managing director after resigning as MD at Equinox and Zenith Media Shanghai in April 2011.

Wee will report to Dylan He, CEO of VivaKi Exchange China, and will be responsible for VX’s business development and expansion in China’s second- and third-tier cities.

Her job description also includes vendor management, media consulting, new business initiatives and key client servicing.

Prior to this, she was the managing director of Equinox and Zenith Media Shanghai from Dec 2007 to April 2011. Responsible for billings of more than US$300 million, she led a 70-person planning team for clients such as LVMH Group, Schering Plough Merck and Puma. She also drove significant year-on-year revenue growth by winning pitches from Pfizer Wyeth, Perfetti Van Melle, China Merchants Bank and Media Markt.

Vivaki Exchange (VX) does media buying on behalf of Publicis’ members in China, including ZenithOptimedia and StarcomMediaVest, with major clients such as Coca-Cola, GM Shanghai, China Mobile, Samsung and China Telecom.
