Council of PR Firms of Hong Kong launches second contest for young professionals and students

HONG KONG – The Council of Public Relations Firms of Hong Kong (CPRFHK) is now accepting entries to the 2012 CPRFHK Young Professionals Competition, which is sponsored by Campaign Asia-Pacific and Lufthansa.

The competition, now in its second year, is open to communications students and young public relations professionals across Hong Kong.

This year’s topic was chosen to encourage new ideas and ways to tackle Hong Kong’s environmental challenges with a target group that is expressly concerned and interested in the environment. A survey conducted by the Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd) earlier this year found that Hong Kong youth is more concerned about environmental conservation than economic development.

The winner of the Young Professional category will receive a prize of HK$15,000, which the Student category winner will be awarded up to two round-trip tickets to Frankfurt, including hotel accommodation, to learn about Lufthansa’s sustainability and environmental programmes.

The runner-up in each category will receive a one-year subscription to Campaign Asia-Pacific. The application is available here and on the contest’s designated Facebook fan page.
