The four creative directors are placed in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and The Philippines and are: Ng Heok Seong as ECD at Dentsu Singapore; Andy Soong Kok Leong as ECD at Dentsu Alpha, Vietnam; Joey Ong as ECD at Aspac, Philippines (a Dentsu affiliate); and Chow Kok Keong as creative director at Dentsu Utama, Malaysia.

This announcement follows the appointment of Ted Lim as the regional chief creative officer earlier this year.

To grow and develop, the agency network needed the right creative people in each market, commented Dick van Motman, chairman and CEO of Dentsu Network Asia.

“These are creative leaders who share the belief that effective advertising should have the power to engage, motivate, and move consumers in any shape or form, ultimately driving the growth of our clients’ businesses,” he said.

Ted Lim, chief creative officer at Dentsu Network/Asia, said Dentsu Network/Asia was looking for strategic thinkers with “a head for business” and “a heart for creativity”.

Ng, who is most recently with Havas Worldwide Kuala Lumpur, will report to work in January. The remaining three have already started work in their new roles.

Prior to joining Dentsu, Soong was with JWT Vietnam where he won Pepsi Tet. Ong, meanwhile, had been with DDB Philippines and Bates 141 Manila (now Bates CHI and Partners) for three years each. Chow left TBWA Kuala Lumpur to take up the position at Dentsu Utama.
