With the win, the agency will be responsible for integrated brand communications and media planning for Racer Electric.

There was no incumbent agency on the account.

The appointment comes as Racer Electric aims to expand its focus to drive aggressive growth. The company hopes to become a leader in the manufacturing and distribution of lighting equipment in the Thai market under its flagship 'Racer' brand, along with growing its traditional B2B customer base.

Racer has new products in the pipeline for this year, including a range of energy-saving lamps suitable for home or enclosed spaces, and high-wattage but energy-economic lights suitable for open spaces.

"As a challenger brand aiming to drive aggressive growth, Racer has similar values to Euro RSCG. It also comes at an exciting time in the evolution of the lighting industry, where consumers are placing more importance on lighting and how it affects the atmosphere and environment in the home, at work and in public places," commented Sora Kaitkanarat, managing director at Euro RSCG Bangkok.
