Called the ‘#RePicture photography competition’, the contest seeks to capture the diversity of Singapore and hopes to feature family, friends, food, lifestyle and more.

The contest runs from 1 April through to 31 May, 2015, and is open to semi-professional and amateur photographers, as well as creatives in Singapore. The competition will be judged by a panel of leading creative and photography experts.

The judges will be looking for consistency with the theme, composition of the photograph, technical skills and authenticity. At stake for the participants is a GoPro Hero4 and a chance to join Getty Images as a contributing photographer.

“At Getty Images, we believe that images have the power to change the way people view the world,” said Kumiko Shimamoto, VP of sales. “We’re excited to launch this competition that not only celebrates SG50, but also encourages Singaporeans to help us capture the real Singapore. Getty Images is committed to creating imagery that presents a more authentic view of our customers in Singapore and the world over.”
